Whole Grain French Toast With Berries


  • 4 slices whole grain honey oatmeal bread
  • 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 egg white (lightly beaten)
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons light buttery spread
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, raspberries and blueberries)


Whisk eggs, egg white, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow dish.

Place bread in dish to soak for 3-5 minutes.

Heat buttery spread on large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Carefully remove bread, letting excess egg mixture drip back into dish, and place on heated skillet.

Cook until browned, 3-4 minutes per side.

Serve, topped with berries.
