Triple Layer Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup margarine or butter
  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2½ cups flaked coconut
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F (325° F for glass dishes).

In a 13x9 inch baking pan, melt margarine in oven. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over margarine. Top evenly with coconut then sweetened condensed milk.

Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

In a small saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with peanut butter. Spread evenly over hot coconut layer. Cool for 30 minutes.

Chill thoroughly.

Cut into bars.

Garnish as desired.

Store loosely covered at room temperature.
