Red, White and Blue Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 pound 93% lean ground beef
- ½ cup soft breadcrumbs
- 1 egg white
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 red onion slices
- 2 tablespoons buttermilk ranch dressing
- 2 tablespoons blue cheese (crumbled)
- Sliced tomatoes
- 4 100% whole wheat hamburger buns (split)
Directions
Combine beef, breadcrumbs, egg white, garlic powder and pepper, mixing lightly, but thoroughly. Shape into four ½ inch patties.
Grill over medium hot heat until 160° F, turning occasionally, 7-10 minutes. Grill onions until softened about 10-12 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine ranch dressing and blue cheese.
Place tomato on bun bottom; top with burger, blue cheese mixture and onions.
