Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup walnuts (chopped)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375° F.

Cream butter and sugars until fully combined and smooth, then mix in eggs and vanilla, beating until batter is glossy.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Gradually stir into butter mixture, then fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Form into loose, baseball-sized mounds and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake for 16-18 minutes, or until the center has set, but has not fully cooked. The edges should be lightly golden.
