Chicken and Dumplings Casserole
Ingredients:
- 2 chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- ½ stick of butter
- 2 cups baking mix
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup cream of chicken soup (herbed)
- 3 teaspoons chicken granules
- ½ teaspoon dried sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a 9x13 inch casserole dish, melt the butter. Spread shredded chicken over butter. Sprinkle pepper and dried sage over this layer. Do not stir.
In a small bowl, mix milk and baking mix, slowly pour over chicken.
In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups chicken broth, chicken granules, and soup. Pour over the biscuit layer.
Bake 30-40 minutes or until top is golden brown.
